i found out a couple of days ago that a little boy at my church has leukemia. he's in 4th grade. please, please, please pray for him and his family.
he has an enlarged spleen and his white blood cell count is up to 500,000. they have done a blood cleansing treatment and a couple of blood transfusions, the cleansing did not work to bring his cell count down.
they will begin an oral chemo treatment today.
surgery to remove the spleen is not possible as he wouldn't survive as sick as he is. (that's so scary to hear)
how did they find out he had leukemia?? he went to the ER for severe stomach pains.
please pray for him. his name is roman!
UPDATED TO ADD...if you are a blood donor please donate in roman's name. He NEEDS blood! You can email me at jakemelissajakea@aol.com for complete info on how to do this. Thanks BUNCHES!!!

I'll certainly pray but wanted to give you/them some encouragement too. A close co-worker of mine's 10 year old daughter (at the time the leukemia was discovered) had the same thing. She went through a couple of rough years with chemo, blood counts, et al, but is now a thriving sophmore in high school and a member of the dance squad there. Prayers work!!!!
