I don't think I've shared with you all that McKinley is an All-Star Cheerleader now. For months she was flipping around the living room and running back and forth perfecting her cartwheels and roundoffs. My husband and I agreed that she needed somewhere to do this on a larger, more organized level, so we signed her up for the local cheerleading/tumbling gym, River City Allstars. In the three months that she's been a part of this team, we've seen such a talent blossom and her personality skyrocket! In short, we couldn't be more proud of her!
Last weekend was an event that the gym calls "Blast Off!" It's a day of public performance, an introduction to competition, without the pressure, if you will. The girls could invite friends and family to come and cheer for their team. To say it was a success would be an understatement. There were HUNDREDS of people there cheering for ALL of the girls, not just their own. There were moments that literally took my breath away. Memories of my own cheerleading days came flooding back to mind. The cheers. The "GO RANGERS!" The screaming and clapping...words can't describe the excitement in the building!!

Her first competition is December 6th. She's so excited!! She tells me almost daily that competition is only XX days away. Truth be told, I'm just as excited as she is!!!
